Today marks the 19th year that ARTIST-AT-LARGE has been online. It started out with one little story about a trip to Paris, then morphed into a full-on web site created in HTML, then a blog, a magazine, then a magazine and community and now, it is what it is. There has certainly been a few ups and downs over the years – like, I pictured this place to be a publishing house by now, with employees, as well as a bustling community, and all that goes with that – but I’m happy that it has lasted as long as it has and still has readers!
This year I launched the stock image library, which is still fairly new and unknown, and I’m always working on the community – build it and they will come.
I hope that you enjoy your time spent here, whether you are a traveler looking for creative things to do at your next destination, or a creative person looking to expand your audience, or an armchair traveler who enjoys the stories of other’s travels.
