
Spiraling up or down, round or square, stairs always make interesting compositions.
For decades, 49 Geary has been a building in San Francisco that was known for housing many of the city’s go-to galleries. Many of them have moved on, recently, because of raising rents, but a few galleries still remain. Haines, Fraenkel, Koch, to name a few … are worth the visit to the building.
It’s a changing art gallery scene in San Francisco. Who knows how it will all play out?
