Join Catharine Clark Gallery on Friday, January 31 for a screening of Fritz Lang’s stunning silent film, “Metropolis,” accompanied by a live original score by Club Foot Modern Machines.
Fritz Lang’s 1926 science-fiction masterpiece, “Metropolis,” portrays a technological future where workers toil with mind-numbing devotion to their machinery while the privileged few pursue their pleasures in palaces built in the sky.
Club Foot Modern Machines features composer and founder Richard Marriott (winds), Gino Robair (percussion and electronics), Alisa Rose (violin), Kymry Esainko (keyboards), Beth Custer (clarinets), inventor Matt Heckert (machines), and kinetic sculptor Kal Spelletich (machines).
