To say that it’s been a crazy year is putting it mildly. And crazy doesn’t seem to be ending any time soon, at least not for the holidays. Usually I do a gift-guide for artists and travelers about this time, but you know what? I think the best gifts in 2020 are going to be just being with each other, whether that is in person (being responsible) or over facetime or skype or zoom. Instead of giving gifts that may or may not be appreciated, returned, etc, I think gift cards are going to be the highlight of everyone’s Santa exchange this year.
The practical side of me thinks that gift cards reduce our carbon footprint by being a gift that does not have to be sent out, possibly returned, or sent and unused.
Here’s my list of gift cards that my readers might appreciate:

Jackson and Helen Mirren, they can learn about rockets and living in space with Chris Hadfield, or writing, filmmaking, cooking, or music. The really best deal is the annual pass – so they can take as many classes as they want. Once on the front page of the site, scroll down to the very bottom of the page and you’ll see “Gifts” under the “Explore” menu.
