The Shed is re-opening on October 16, 2020!
The Shed is producing and presenting Howardena Pindell’s powerful and timely work as their reopening exhibition this fall, and has commissioned her unrealized project of 50 years, Rope/Fire/Water. When they first started planning an exhibition with Pindell in 2017, they could not have foreseen its resonance with this summer’s profound call to dismantle systemic racism and to establish equality for Black lives.
This is an exhibition examining the violent, historical trauma of racism in America and the therapeutic power of artistic creation
The Shed is offering free admission through the end of October to welcome you back. Reserve your timed tickets beginning October 1, or become a member to enjoy 15 months of membership and advance ticket access. They will be following health and safety protocols.
