It’s that time of year again. The time when the light changes from summer to fall, seemingly overnight. It’s the time when colors take on new hues, when orange becomes popular for a month, maybe a month and a half, and it’s the time when Indian Corn, Gourds, Pomegranates, and Squash fill the harvest food and decorative bins at my favorite local grocery stores.

Found last Saturday at the Berkeley Farmers’ Market. As I was photographing it, someone removed the left half of the squash from the table and purchased it, so I only got off two shots. The right side by itself wasn’t as compositionally interesting, so I’m glad I at least got this one.
